I ran again this morning, my usual four mile "last chance" run before my WI. I'm loving the weather and hope to work on the quality of my runs (less walking, more even pace) during the next month or so. After a quick shower, I stopped by for a brief visit with my Dad, and then went to WW. Despite the weekend's splurges (Smith Island Cake, Raspberry Sorbet, Key Lime Creme Brule, toast and butter with breakfast, and bread with dinner) I managed to lose one pound at my WI. Yay! I'm guessing that the ~7 hours of biking calories spent probably cancelled out the extra calories from my splurges. Oh, and I got in Kettle Bell workout #3 on Monday, too. This time the Turkish Get Ups were a tiny bit easier
I had a fun NSV yesterday. I set out for the Farmer's Market with the grand babies, but they were being great, so I ducked into a shop and noticed some cute dresses. I decided that I would try them on. J&E were in a shopping cart and cooperative, so I grabbed my favorite four dresses. I decided I'd only try on the size 12s, except for one which was a petite, so I grabbed the 14P. All of them fit, more or less, and I bought two of them. The 14P was my favorite. It fit okay, but I decided I'd lose 5-7 more pounds before I'd wear it. That's okay. I like goals like that. Here's the NSV---When I got home, I noticed that I hadn't gotten the 14P, I'd grabbed the 10P !!!!!

I, too, love independent bookstores, however they are harder and harder to find. I also love a good mystery novel, do you have any suggestions??
ReplyDeleteKudos on fitting into a 10P!

A size 10? Congratulations! And your biking weekend sounds like fun. I wish the Boyfriend would plan something neat like that.
ReplyDeleteWow, a 10P. Now that is a dream come true. How wonderful you must feel. I am so HAPPY for you!!
ReplyDeleteI loved all the pictures you posted regarding your bike trip and route. Someday I would like to try that. My father's family is from Carroll County so I get out to MD once every couple of years to see them. Your trip inspired me to take a bike and take in the Bay in a different way. Good for you!
Tish, WOW!!! Great work on all levels, the weightloss and rewarding yourself with a new size, so proud of you my friend!
ReplyDeleteoh and WAIT...you don't think I'm gonna let you get away with not posting pictures of you in the dress are you...I may be sick, but I'm still on top of my game ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt is physically impossible for me to go past a bookshop without going inside, and I love the little independent ones too, you find so many books there that are not in the mainstream shops. What a beautiful little building that one is too!
ReplyDeleteThat's really more than a NSV, it's a major TRIUMPH! Wow, you gotta post a pic when you wear it for the first time.
ReplyDeleteHave you and DH set your plans for AT hiking?
BTW, we continue to find so many things in common! I completed the BSF series several years ago. Had planned to return this year for the new study and had contemplated starting the whole series over again, but when I inquired, there was a wait-list of over 230 people. Whoa!!
You made great progress this summer Tish! Keep at it:)
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Tish! You lost a lot for this challenge! And a 10P... wow!!! WAY TO GO!! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job! So cool that you were happy with the 14 and THEN saw the real size. Surprise!
ReplyDeleteWay to go!!!!! A new size is always a great feeling!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on ANOTHER great weight loss! Especially on a vacation week.
ReplyDeleteThat is so fun to find a little shop like that, and to find a 'stranger' that you have so much in common with (bad sentence, but you know what I mean.)
A loss after vacation? Unheard of. So congrats!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love books, too. Old, new, any kind.
Woohoo on the new dress. The book store sounds amazing Tommy says I can sniff out an independent book store no matter where we go :)
ReplyDeleteTotally awesome on the 10P. :) Congratulations.
